Scales Passes Medical - Ipswich Town News
John Scales has passed his medical and is set to be unveiled as Town's new signing at a press conference at 1pm. The former Spurs player, who celebrated his 34th birthday yesterday, is available on a free transfer.
Reports this morning suggesting Celtic have no interest in Richard Wright could well prove to be well wide of the mark. Martin O'Neill was quoted saying that the Scottish giants had made no contact with Ipswich about the goalkeeper. These comments, however, were made in a press conference last Thursday during which he failed to rule out any future move for Wright, merely refuting any claim that any move had already been made. With Chelsea and Newcastle definitely ruling themselves out of the 'race' for Wright it seems there are very few runners. Has Jonathan Barnett got his tactics very wrong?
