AaB Confirm Gaardsøe Cash - Ipswich Town News
Thomas Gaardsøe's former club AaB Aalborg have confirmed that they received an addition to the defender's £1 million transfer fee. Last month we reported that AaB were due around another £100,000 after Gaardsøe made his 20th Town appearance in the match against Coventry City.
Reports in Denmark claim this top-up to be around the one million Danish Krone, about £86,000, with a similar payment due on 40 appearances, possibly due later this season.
AaB's sports director Lynge Jacobsen refused to confirm the amounts involved but did admit that more money had been due: "I won't confirm or deny the figures mentioned, but it's correct that Ipswich must pay us some more money when Thomas plays 20 and 40 matches."
