Reserves Draw - Ipswich Town News

Town's second string drew 1-1 against Charlton at the Valley last night with the Blues goal coming from a Martijn Reuser penalty.

Reuser continued his comeback from injury under the gaze of Alan Curbishley who tried to take him to South London on loan earlier in the season.

However, the Dutchman says he is currently more concerned with getting in the Town team than a move: "My first thoughts are with Ipswich and to be involved at Portsmouth and then Leicester. There are a lot of games coming up and then we will see what happens."

Marcus Bent played 85 minutes, longer than was expected, while Finidi George managed the full 90 as he returns to fitness after an ankle problem.

The Blues employed a 4-4-2 formation and went behind to a John Robinson goal. Reuser's penalty came three minutes before the end after a foul on sub striker Matt Robinson.

Town: Pullen, Okay (Bowditch 70), Richards, Beevers, Chaffey, Bloomfield, Abidallah, Westlake, M Bent (Robinson 85), George, Reuser.
