Town manager Joe Royle said his side played like a Premiership team after they came close to beating league-leaders Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Royle bemoaned a failure to take chances and another defensive error: "We fear nobody and we came here to win. We make the occasional mistake at the back and miss chances up front.
"But we are a Premiership side in terms of our general play. We should have had three points."
Harry Redknapp did not disagree with the Town boss: "I've always said that we will not beat everyone every week.
"Ipswich had some great chances and Shaka had to make some great saves but there's a long way to go and lots of football to be played.
"Ipswich are a good side and what they are doing down the bottom I do not know."
