Swaps Possible - Royle - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Joe Royle has reiterated that he expects few big money deals to occur during the January transfer window, although he says a few swaps could go through.
Royle has again denied any interest in Marcus Bent from West Ham or enquiries regarding any of his other players: "We had no interest expressed in anyone looking to buy one of our players.
"I don't expect there will be very many cash sales when the window opens anywhere unless one of the big clubs splashes out and breaks the log jam. But again I doubt that will happen.
"Instead I can see a few swap deals happening and a few players coming in from abroad."
One deal that may be on the cards at Portman Road is the signing of Laurent Charvet. The French defender began his trial period at Town yesterday.
