Bloomfield Called-Up - Ipswich Town News
Town youngster Matt Bloomfield has been called into the England U20 squad for a get-together at La Manga in Spain.
Initially Les Reed, the FA's acting Technical Director, wanted Darren Bent and Darren Ambrose to be involved but Town declined the request with both required for action with the Blues.
The training camp runs begins tomorrow and ends on January 11th. Bloomfield, 18, was involved with the England U19 set-up last season and was a sub in the 3-1 win against Germany at Portman Road when Darren Bent scored twice.
