Holland Sunderland Link - Ipswich Town News
The weekend's tabloids claim that Town skipper Matt Holland could be on his way to Sunderland in a swap deal with former striker Marcus Stewart.
The story looks highly unlikely with the Blues certainly unable to meet Marcus Stewart's wage demands. After all that is why he was sold back in August.
However, a usually reliable source has told us that Sunderland are interested in defender Hermann Hreidarsson while the Blues are expecting renewed interest in Matt Holland from Aston Villa during the transfer window.
Hreidarsson recently stated that he wants to stay at Portman Road while Holland would almost certainly turn down any offer from Villa, as he previously did last summer.
