Burley for Ireland? - Ipswich Town News
Former Town boss George Burley is being linked with the job of manager of the Republic of Ireland. Burley has been linked with a number of jobs since leaving Town in October.
Ex-Town player and coach Bryan Hamilton is advising the FAI on the appointment and Burley feels that this may have led to the claims: "While it is an honour to be mentioned with an international post such as the Republic of Ireland and it would be a great job to be offered, I have not heard anything like that.
"Perhaps someone is putting two and two together with Bryan's connection but they are getting five."
