Jim Head-Butt Charge - Ipswich Town News
Nottingham Forest striker Jack Lester has been charged with violent conduct after allegedly head-butting Jim Magilton during the first half of Town's 2-1 defeat at the City Ground in late November.
Lester was booked after the off the ball incident by referee Paul Armstrong, a decision which annoyed Town manager Joe Royle who said after the game: "We should have been playing against 10 men a lot earlier than we were. The referee didn't realise that head-butting is a red card offence."
Forest had David Prutton sent off in the final minute of the game. Lester has until January 20th to respond to the charge.
Former Grimsby man Lester, at one time linked with Town, has been sent off twice this season and booked on five occasions.
