Managers Fail to Show - Ipswich Town News
Both Joe Royle and Stan Ternent failed to show up to the post-match press conference after watching their sides draw 1-1 at Turf Moor. The verdict on the game was left to Burnley's assistant manager Sam Ellis.
Ellis was glad of the point and, although impressed with Town, felt his side might have nicked it at the end: "Both teams tried to win it but we rate Ipswich among the best in the division and that's why we are pleased with both the performance and the result.”
"They have some excellent players but we matched them and we might even have nicked a win."
