Reserves Face Chelsea - Ipswich Town News
Town will take a strong reserves side to Aldershot's Recreation Ground to face Chelsea this evening (KO 7pm). A number of players are on the way back after injury and are desperately in need of a game.
Finidi George, Martijn Reuser and Alun Armstrong have been in special fitness sessions with Simon Thadani lately and tonight's game will continue their comebacks.
The Chelsea match comes to early for Mark Venus and John McGreal who both have knee problems. Venus isn't too far away and is involved in training while McGreal is still two or three weeks away after damaging ligaments at Brighton.
Richard Naylor, on the bench at Burnley on Saturday, will also be involved.
