Hero's Son Loses Town Job - Ipswich Town News
Robert Osborne, son of 1978 FA Cup goal hero Roger, was one of the Portman Road employees who lost his job last week. Town made 18 redundancies in a bid to reduce their outgoings by £500,000.
Osborne had been working in the Ticket Office for the past year on a contract via a recruitment agency. The 24-year-old never became a permanent member of staff as he intended to go travelling abroad, something he now plans to bring forward.
The off-field redundancies, 15% of the staff, came from a number departments at the club.
