Town manager Joe Royle has told youngsters Steve Burton and Lee Beevers that their contracts will not be renewed when they are up at the end of the season.
Striker Burton spent two months on loan at Boston earlier in the season, scoring one goal in 10 appearances.
Beevers is a central defender who featured in the Welsh U19 side last season.
Royle feels they will have more chance of picking up new clubs if allowed to do so now rather than waiting until the summer when large numbers of players will be looking for new sides.
Last week midfielder Robert Dickinson was told he will be let go when his contract ends and has had trials at Rotherham and West Ham. Irish keeper Darren Kelly was also been released.
