Plenty of Miller Interest - Ipswich Town News

Released Town defender Justin Miller is interesting a number of clubs in addition to front-runners Leyton Orient. Miller was released on Thursday morning and Orient, is former loan club, quickly announced their intentions to try to sign him permanently.

Miller has told the club site that he was not surprised that Joe Royle told him his contract will not be renewed when it ends in June: "I am disappointed that I have not had longer to impress the manager but I half expected to be told I could leave.

"I have been injured and ill since I came back on loan from Orient just before Christmas and only played the one game for Ipswich with the manager here, for the reserves against Leicester on Wednesday.

"I had a feeling before the game that I might be on the way and that is how it's worked out. I am disappointed but that's football and I have to get on with it.

"While I accept that I will probably have to join a club in the lower leagues to get my career going, I will give it my best shot to get back to the highest level."

Miller says that Carlisle, Bournemouth and Hartlepool have already been on the phone to him while Torquay are also said to be interested. The South African hopes to get a deal sorted somewhere next week.
