Alun Out Of Harwich Trip - Ipswich Town News
Striker Alun Armstrong has pulled out of tonight's reserve game with Harwich and Parkeston at the Shrimpers' Royal Oak Ground (KO 7.45pm). Armstrong was the most senior member of the squad named for the match which been arranged to open new ground facilities.
Armstrong is still suffering with the hamstring injury which he picked up in last week's reserve game against Leicester City. It is hoped he'll be OK for the senior side's trip to Bradford on Saturday.
Tonight's squad is mainly drawn from the Academy, Matt Richards, James Pullen, Ian Westlake and Nabil Abidallah the only players with any first team experience.
Town boss Joe Royle will be in attendence and is involved in the facilities' opening ceremony.
Earlier freed defender Justin Miller pulled out of the squad in order to talk to Bournemouth.
