Town Linked With Murphy - Ipswich Town News
Town are reported to be keeping a regular watch on Carlisle United captain Peter Murphy. The Blues are said to have seen the 22-year-old in action on a number of occasions this season.
Irish defender Murphy is out of contract at the end of the season and was recently the subject of an enquiry from an unnamed First Division club.
There is little possibility that this was Town, however depending on events between now and the summer, the Blues could be interested ahead of next season.
Murphy, capped at several levels by Ireland, has spent much of his career at left-back, although latterly he has moved to centre-half where he has impressed.
