Two New Kits Next Season - Ipswich Town News

Town will offer fans the chance to buy two new shirts next season when the name Powergen replaces TXU Energi as main sponsor. Powergen took over TXU Energi late last year and will not be using the TXU name after April.

Town chief executive Derek Bowden revealed the news last night and says that the club will be looking at ways of offering the shirts at a reduced cost: "It is best that we change both shirts at the same time but we appreciate how young fans will want both shirts and the cost of that.

"We are looking at ways of being fair to our supporters by bringing in significant discounts, although quite what they will be has not been decided yet.”

Bowden has also praised the way that crowds at Portman Road have held up throughout the season. The Blues have averaged a gate of 24,500 while 22,500 was budgeted for at the beginning of the season.
