Thomas Gaardsøe has been voted the TWTD Player of the Month for the third time in succession. The Dane has been the outstanding player of the Joe Royle era so far and must be the early favourite for the overall Player of the Year award.
After polling well above 70% in the November and December votes Gaardsøe was pushed closer this time around, receiving 32% of the more than 1000 votes. Matt Holland came in second with a creditable 21% while super sub Darren Bent was third on 18% with Jim Magilton not far behind on 13%.
