Matt Holland captained Ireland for the first time and led his side to a 2-0 victory over Scotland at Hampden Park on Wednesday night. First half goals from Kevin Kilbane and Clinton Morrison within the first 16 minutes sealed the victory.
Holland lined-up in new manager Brian Kerr's midfield alongside Mark Kinsella and the pair of them effectively ran the game. The Town skipper was winning his 28th cap.
