Many Attend Dale Service - Ipswich Town News
Town were well represented at Dale Roberts' memorial service at St Augustine's Church this morning. The entire squad, academy and board were all in attendance along with a number of ex-employees of the club.
Former manager George Burley gave a reading while Jamie Clapham, David Johnson, Richard Wright, John Scales, Jason Cundy, Adam Tanner, Charlie Woods, Geraint Williams, Craig Forrest, Jason Dozzell, Simon Milton, Kevin Steggles, Mick
Lambert, George Ainsley, Geoff Hammond, Colin Harper, John Wark, Peter Trevivian, Bobby Ferguson, Stewart Houston, Brian Owen ,Tommy Parkin, Paul Goddard and Allan Hunter were all there to pay tribute to Roberts, who lost his fight with cancer last week. Town manager Joe Royle was not present as he is on holiday.
Earlier today there was a private family funeral.
