U17s in Cup Action Against Colchester at Needham - Ipswich Town News
Town’s academy youngsters are in action against Colchester United in the U17 Professional Development League Cup at Needham Market’s Bloomfields this evening (KO 7pm).
The Blues are in a group with the U’s, Leyton Orient and Cambridge United.
Town face the O’s at a venue to be confirmed on Thursday 22nd October, then host Cambridge, again at Bloomfields, on Tuesday 26th November (7pm).
The Blues and Colchester met one another in the same competition last season when the Essex side ran out 3-1 winners at Maldon & Tiptree's Park Drive ground.
Town went on to draw their other two fixtures - with Millwall and Luton - but finished third in their group.
