Town Women's Striker Fisher in England U17s Squad - Ipswich Town News

Ipswich Town Women’s striker Isabella Fisher has been named in the England U17s squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic later this month.

Fisher, 17, joined Town on duel registration terms from Arsenal in the summer and netted her first Blues goal in the 3-1 FAWNL Cup victory at Exeter on Sunday.

She will join up with the squad on Sunday with the Young Lionesses in Group C alongside Kenya, Mexico and North Korea.

Fisher, who has been capped at U17 level 15 times, scoring seven goals, was a member of the side which reached the final of the UEFA U17 Championship in Sweden last summer but lost 4-0 to Spain.

She hit a nine-minute hat-trick in a group stage game against the hosts, her only goals in the tournament.
