Muric Named in Kosovo Squad - Ipswich Town News

Blues keeper Aro Muric has been named in the Kosovo squad for their UEFA Nations League games against Lithuania and Cyprus.

The 25-year-old, who has previously won 39 caps, is included in the party despite having been sent home for breaking squad rules following the first of last month’s two fixtures along with teammates Edon Zhegrova and Florent Muslija.

It was reported they had stayed out too late in a nightclub, a claim the Town number one bitterly disputed.

According to an FFK (Kosovan FA) press release, the trio have now apologised for their conduct: "In advance, the latter have made a letter of apology to the selector, footballers, federation and fans for disobeying the rules, stating that in the future they will give the best for their country.”

Kosovo take on the Lithuanians away in Kaunas on Saturday 12th October, then host the Cypriots in Pristina on Tuesday 15th October.

The Kosovans are currently second in Nations League Group C2.
