Tuanzebe Withdrawn From DR Congo Squad - Ipswich Town News
Town defender Axel Tuanzebe has withdrawn from DR Congo’s Africa Cup of Nations ties against Tanzania during the international break
The DR Congo FA has announced that the 26-year-old has been replaced in the squad for the back-to-back games against the Tanzanians due to injury with Oxford United’s Peter Kioso replacing him.
Speaking at his press conference yesterday, manager Kieran McKenna revealed that a couple of players were struggling ahead of Saturday’s game at West Ham and Tuanzebe would appear to be one of them.
It’s likely the former Manchester United man will be replaced by Ben Johnson, who joined Town after leaving the Hammers, at right-back at the London Stadium.
Blues striker Ali Al-Hamadi has been withdrawn from the Iraq squad due to a knock.
