Burns and Broadhead Could Add to Caps - Ipswich Town News
Town’s Welsh duo Wes Burns and Nathan Broadhead will be hoping to add to their caps when their side host Montenegro in a Nations League tie at the Cardiff City Stadium this evening (KO 7.45pm, S4C).
Burns, who spoke to the media ahead of the game on Saturday, could start having come on as a half-time sub for Brennan Johnson, son of Blues’ legend David, during Friday’s 2-2 draw in Iceland. Johnson is suspended for tonight’s match.
If he is involved this evening, the 29-year-old will be winning his 10th cap.
Broadhead is yet to feature for either the Blues or Wales this season having suffered a hamstring injury early in pre-season.
The 26-year-old will be looking to take his caps total to 13 and add to his two international goals. Former Blues striker Kieffer Moore is also in the squad.
Wales, unbeaten in three matches under new manager Craig Bellamy, are currently second in Group B4 with tonight’s opponents bottom without a point.
