Town’s U18s were beaten 5-0 by Professional Development League Two South leaders Bristol City at Playford Road on Saturday morning.
The young Blues, with David Wright taking temporary charge alongside his U21s duties with U18s lead coach Olly Lee set to join Norwich City, were 3-0 down at half-time with the Robins netted twice more in the second half.
