U18s Beat Swans to Claim First Home Win - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U18s beat Swansea City 4-1 at Playford Road on Saturday morning to claim their first home victory of the season.
The Blues, who have David Wright in charge with lead coach Olly Lee set to join Norwich City, were 2-0 in front at the break via Charlie Compton (pictured), who was recently featured in a Guardian list of the top 20 talents in Premier League academies and trialist Kelvin Heard.
Compton added a second after the break and Ashton Boswell added a fourth with the Swansea only registering via a George Iorpenda own goal.
The young Blues move above the Welsh side into seventh in Professional Development League Two South.
