Burgess in Australia Squad - Ipswich Town News
Blues centre-half Cameron Burgess has been named in the Australia squad for their World Cup qualifiers during the international break.
The Socceroos host Saudi Arabia in Melbourne on Thursday 14th November, then travel to take on Bahrain on Tuesday 19th November.
Australia are currently second in the group having made a disappointing start to the third stage of Asian World Cup qualification.
Burgess, 29, who recently made his Premier League debut, has previously won 11 full caps.
There’s no place in the squad for Massimo Luongo, who came out of international retirement ahead of the October internationals but pulled out of the squad due to an ankle injury from which he returned to take a place on the bench for the home game against Leicester last weekend.
