9000 Miss Out on Season Tickets - Ipswich Town News
Town are set to announce this week that 27,000 people applied for season tickets, 9,000 more than are available. The club have endeavoured to allocate tickets to supporters with a record of loyal support. Presumably the club database has been examined with a fine tooth comb in order to make sure faithful followers during the Endsleigh/Nationwide League seasons have been rewarded for their years of support above glory hunting Johnny come latelys. How well this has worked will become evident over the next few days when unlucky fans will begin posting on the TWTD Message Board and the letters start appearing in the local press. The huge over-subscription also means that the 2,000 matchday tickets will also massively over-subscribed. The likelihood there being that non-season ticket holders will only get to see a couple of games this season.
