Iraola Expecting Tight Game - Ipswich Town News

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola expects a tight match against the Blues this afternoon as all Town’s games have been tight this season.

The Cherries go into the fixture having won two on the bounce, last Saturday’s 4-2 win at Wolves have been followed up by Thursday’s 1-0 home victory over Tottenham.

"The small details will be key,” the Spaniard told his club’s official website looking ahead to this afternoon’s match. "It’s a tricky one for us because we will have had little more than 48 hours to recover and we have to travel.

"They played on Tuesday and that’s two extra days. They play both games at home so, for them, it’s kind of perfect conditions.

"We have to use the next two days to recover, see who is ready to go again and who can help us. Not everyone is going to be ready to start again.”

Quizzed on Blues striker Liam Delap, Iraola added: "He’s a player who is very complete. He’s tall, they can use him in direct play, he’s very good linking up play but he is also quite dynamic and he attacks the spaces very well.

"From a very difficult forward, you go to another one. They also have different kind of players behind him. Omari Hutchinson and Sam Szmodics are also big goal threats. It’s going to be tight because all their games have been very tight.

"I hope, mentally and physically, we can start the game at 100 per cent because I think we will need it. I think it’s going to be a difficult challenge for us.”

Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott is out having undergone knee surgery a month ago, while Julián Araujo is another long-term absentee having had a hamstring op.

Former Leeds winger Luis Sinisterra is not expected to be ready to return, also due to a hamstring problem.

Argentine central defender Marcos Senesi suffered a quad injury against Wolves last week and is set for a long spell on the sidelines.
