Carr's Gateshead Loan Spell Ends - Ipswich Town News

Town youngster Ryan Carr’s loan spell with Vanarama National League Gateshead has officially come to an end.

The 20-year-old only featured three times during his half-season spell with the Heed, one two-minute sub appearance in the National League in September and one start and one game from the bench in the National League Cup.

Carr, who has played a part in the Blues’ first-team pre-season for the last couple of summers, has been back playing with Town’s U21s since early last month.

The midfielder joined the Blues from Carlisle in January 2023 having made one senior appearance for the Cumbrians.

Elsewhere, former Town left-back Matt Penney as left Rochdale after a short spell at Spotland. The 26-year-old had been without a club since leaving the Blues in the summer of 2023 before joining Dale in November.

Ex-Town winger Alan Judge, 36, has left Woking having rejoined the Cards in November.
