U18s Surrender Two-Goal Lead at Charlton - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U18s surrendered a two-goal half-time lead as they were beaten 5-2 by Charlton Athletic at their Sparrows Lane training ground in Professional Development League Two South on Saturday.
Jamie Mauge (pictured) gave the Blues the lead in the 10th minute, then Afi Adebayo doubled the advantage on 17.
However, the Addicks hit back via Emmanuel Sol-Loza soon after the second period got under way, then the same player levelled eight minutes later.
Ellis McMillan added the third moments later, then Reuben Reid added a fourth, before McMillan completed the scoring with his second with 12 minutes remaining.
The result sees Town drop to eighth in the PDL2 South table with the Addicks moving above them on goal difference.
