Burton Signs for Donny - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Steve Burton has signed for Doncaster Rovers on a free transfer. TWTD reported last month that the youngster had been offered a deal by the Belle Vue club after a spell on trial.
Burton, 19, says he is pleased to move to his hometown club: "I am happier now than I have been for a while and also playing my best football. I really enjoyed my games for the reserves and hopefully I can get involved with the first team squad."
It is understood that his contract for this season and next would be extended for an extra year should the South Yorkshire side get promoted to the Football League.
Burton spent a spell on loan at Boston earlier in the season and also had a trial at Yeovil before deciding on the move to Doncaster.
