Town manager Joe Royle says that Marcus Bent will not be moving to Fulham, despite interest in the player from the Cottagers.
Royle says: "There was an interest but Fulham won't be taking it any further. I don't think it's down to Marcus and his ability, but there seems to a certain amount of uncertainty at Fulham as to whether they are going to buy any more players until they see what's happening in the summer with Jean Tigana.
"I think they've taken the view that they are just not taking anybody at the moment.”
Royle says he has received no other enquiries regarding any of his players, who met this morning with chairman David Sheepshanks and chief executive Derek Bowden, but admits that offers could come in: "There could be enquiries. There is interest, we know of interest, but we've had not bids for anybody.”
