Moyes to Watch Bent - Ipswich Town News
Everton manager David Moyes will be at Portman Road tonight, apparently keeping an eye on Darren Bent. The 16-goal striker has emerged as an Everton target with Moyes watching him on a number of occasions recently.
Town manager Joe Royle is aware of the interest in his players while Town have 'club in distress' status and expects a significant number to once again see his side this evening: "They'll be like vultures trying to see what they can pick up."
This week is the last that Premiership clubs can purchase and play Town players while they are considered a 'club in distress'.
Next weekend Premiership clubs contest their 31st matches of the season with the Premier League considering the playing of new signings with less than eight games remaining against the integrity of the competition. Clubs will still be able to buy Town players but wouldn't be able to field them until next season.
Darren Bent undergoes a fitness test prior to tonight's game after picking up a slight hamstring problem over the weekend.
