Ambrose Keen on Loan - Ipswich Town News

Newcastle targeted midfielder Darren Ambrose has said he is keen to return to Town on loan if an agreement can be reached with the Football League. Meanwhile Hermann Hreidarsson says he'll talk to Portsmouth despite being happy at Portman Road.

Ambrose says he is to contiue discussions later today: "I'm going back up to Newcastle with my agent and will take it from there.

"It's all a bit scary. I don't want to go to Newcastle and play in the reserves. I'd rather be helping Ipswich try and get back into the Premiership and if the loan situation can be sorted out then that would be good.

"But I'm confused by everything at the moment and the deal has got to be right."

Icelandic defender Hermann Hreidarsson says he is happy at Town and wants to play Premiership football with the Blues, however he will listen to what Pompey have to offer: "I like it here at Ipswich but will speak with Portsmouth tonight.

"I want to play Premiership football again with Ipswich, but have to look at the whole picture. I will weigh it all up in my mind before making a decision."
