Hermann Deal Not Done? - Ipswich Town News
Charlton Athletic have denied that their move for Hermann Hreidarsson has been completed. Earlier this afternoon TWTD and other sources were reporting that the deal to take the Icelandic international to the Valley was done and dusted.
Now it appears three other clubs have entered the equation, one of whom we're told is Aston Villa. Hreidarsson, 28, has already spoken about a move to Portsmouth but is likely to prefer a switch to a more established Premiership side.
Charlton have revealed that the fee they have agreed with Town is at the £900,000 mark, although this figure is unlikely to be all an initial fee. Earlier it was reported that the deal with Charlton is the same as had been agreed with Portsmouth which would see the Blues net an immediate £500,000.
