U19s in Action - Ipswich Town News

Town's U19s are in action against Arsenal this Saturday morning at the Playford Road Training Centre (KO 11am). The U17s are not in action this weekend.

The Blues' Academy side will face Ashley Probets and Alfie Kamara who have been on trial at Portman Road recently.

Both will play for Arsenal despite being told they can leave Highbury at the end of season. The Gunners are keen to land the FA Premier Academy U19 title and want to field their stongest possible side.

Town are hoping to take on both 18-year-olds in the summer. Probets impressed in the reserve games against Wimbledon and West Ham and Kamara in the match against the Hammers.

Probets is a full-back or central defender from Bexley while Kamara plays in the centre of defence or midfield. Although born in Sierra Leone he has represented the England U15s.
