Holland in Irish Action - Ipswich Town News
Town skipper Matt Holland was in the Ireland side which beat Georgia 2-1 in Tblisi in a European Championships qualifying game. Gary Doherty of Spurs scored a late winner for the Republic.
Earlier Damien Duff had put the Irish ahead with Georgia's Levan Kobiashvili equalising. Holland was not Irish captain on this occasion, Kenny Cunningham taking on the role after returning from injury.
Ireland face Albania in Tirana on Wednesday night, the Albanians having done them a favour on Saturday night when they beat Russia 3-1, Igli Tare, a team-mate of Matteo Sereni at Brescia, scoring the third goal.
