U19s Win - Ipswich Town News
Town's U19s beat their Arsenal counterparts 3-0 in a fine game at the Blues' Playford Road Training Centre on Saturday morning.
Town included only two players ineligible for U17 football in their team.
Arsenal started the brighter side, but Town went ahead from a corner. Visitors' keeper Craig Holloway, who has been on the bench for the first team this season, punched the ball out, but only to Liam Manning, who sent it back in and Sam Morrow scored, the ball going in off the post.
Town scored another through Morrow before Adem Atay, a regular U17 player, rounded off the scoring.
Arsenal fielded Alfie Kamara and Ashley Probets, who have both been on trial at Town and who are expected to move to Portman Road over the summer.
The U17s were not in action but face Manchester United's youngsters in their play-off group next weekend.
