Royle on Award - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Joe Royle has welcomed the Manager of the Month award and says he is not concerned by the supposed curse that surrounds the gong.
Royle told the club site: "I'm delighted to receive the award but it's much more a team effort than one individual.
"In a season when we haven't had many positives this is a nice token but the real prize has yet to be won.
"If we can maintain our form and reproduce the performance I saw at Gillingham on Saturday, then we will very close to that prize come the end of the season.
"I'm not superstitious — fingers crossed, touch wood we will be OK against Forest on Saturday!”
