Joe Calls for Big Noise - Ipswich Town News

Town manager Joe Royle has called for supporters to once more turn Portman Road into a fearsome cauldron of noise when the Blues meet Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Royle says he wants an atmosphere like the one whch helped his side come from behind with ten men to beat Sheffield United in February: "A bit of what Sheffield United got when they came here is what is required, and it can happen."

"I felt we were playing with 12 men that day. I really did.

"The team played so hard that they made up for the lost man and the 26,000 plus crowd were so tremendous in getting behind us that they were, in themselves, worth another player out there on the field.

"A repeat of that on Saturday can really make life difficult for Forest and good for us.

"Forest are well catchable and it is a particularly crucial game as they are the team we can actually influence ourselves over the remaining games. Wolves are obviously in our sights, Reading are catchable too and even up to Sheffield."

Royle says that despite his torn hamstring he is hopeful that Darren Bent might be involved for the visit of Paul Hart's side.
