Abidallah Stars Again as Reserves Lose - Ipswich Town News

Town's reserves lost 1-0 at Hitchin last night after Delroy McKoy scored the winner in the 66th minute. Few Town players impressed on the night, although Nabil Abidallah once again showed that he is a cut above the majority of Town's squad players. One worry for Town was the injury of Neil Midgley who left the field with a groin strain. Also replaced was Mark Venus who was taken off in the 35th minute with a sore back. Town side: Salmon, Daly, Nicholls, McGreal, Mowbray, Venus (Moffat 35), Abidallah, Niven, Logan (Wasylyczin 82), Midgley (J Miller 44) and Friars (Dickinson 80)

Town's injury list currently looks like this: Matt Holland has a calf injury and will have a test before tonight's game at Leyton Orient (7.45pm), Jermaine Wright has come through a scan and is beginning light training while Gary Croft is hopeful of being fit after going off injured at Colchester and Richard Naylor is still recovering from his operation. James Scowcroft, who looked sure to miss the beginning of the season, is likely to play some role this evening. John McGreal came through last night's game while Mark Venus, although suffering a sore back, is not feeling anything from the ankle operated on in the summer.
