U17s Friendly - Ipswich Town News
Neither of Town's senior academy sides have games on Saturday morning but the U17s face Norwegian side Mjondalen IF in a friendly at the Training Centre in Playford Road on Sunday (KO 2pm).
It's the U14s who will have most of the attention this week when they take part in the prestigious Nike Cup. Former academy students Kieron Dyer and Titus Bramble, along with club vice-president Harold Smith, donated cash to allow the club to travel to Sunderland for the tournament.
A few years back a side involving Darren Bent, Darren Ambrose, Ian Westlake and Matt Bloomfield won the tournament.
Young defender Victor Hill is spendng the remainder of the season on loan at Jewson League Woodbridge Town.
