Loanee News - Ipswich Town News

Matteo Sereni again kept a clean sheet as Brescia continued their good form with another 0-0 draw, this time away against Udinese. Ulrich Le Pen played the full 90 minutes as Strasbourg beat Nantes 2-0.

Brescia are now up to ninth in Serie A with a money-spinning UEFA Cup place a possibility. Le Pen's Strasbourg are in 13th position in Le Championnat.

TWTD understands that both clubs are due to make the decision whether they want to take up their option to sign the players by the end of April, although the loan periods last until June 30th.

If Brescia aren't interested or able to make a long-term move for Sereni then it is likely that another Italian side may take him after his fine form this season. However, given the current nature of the transfer market, a significant fee may not be forthcoming.

Le Pen is keen to join Strasbourg permanently when his loan is up, a fee having been agreed last summer, although as with Brescia they may not be in a position to afford that fee.
