Ticket Prices to Freeze - Ipswich Town News

Town are reported to be about announce that season ticket prices will remain frozen for 2004/05 for those fans renewing early this summer. The club ran the same scheme last year with supporters buying their tickets before last May entitled to this year's at the same price.

More details are expected later today with fans able to buy their tickets via an interest free four month standing order or by cheque or cash.

The club are encouraging fans not to buy with credit cards as many of the banks who run the cards will not give the club their money up front but will pay them in instalments throughout the season.

Town are keen to get hold of the money as soon as they can to help with their refinancing plans. Supporters concerned that credit cards are the only way of protecting themselves are being assured that income from tickets is kept in a separate fund and would be safe in the highly unlikely occurrence that Town fail to fulfil their fixtures next season.

In addition to the regular season tickets, the club is issuing a small number of tradeable debentures of 10 and 20 years.

Town had around 20,000 season ticket holders for 2002/03 but it is expected that the figure will be lower this time around after a disappointing season.
