Foxes Latest Alun Link - Ipswich Town News
Leicester City are the latest club linked with a move for Town striker Alun Armstrong. Over the weekend TWTD reported that Coventry City are after the 28-year-old striker.
Armstrong was told two weeks ago that the Blues are making him available on a free transfer after an injury-hit season.
The former Boro and Stockport man has a year left on his Portman Road deal but would probably be lured away from Town by first team football. His wages are not understood to be at the higher end of the Portman Road bill, however his departure would still help the club to reduce costs.
Armstrong joined Town from Boro for £500,000 in December 2000 and has scored 17 goals in 85 appearances for the Blues.
