Tanner Latest Col U Recruit - Ipswich Town News

Adam Tanner looks like he might join former comrades Mick Stockwell, Jason Dozzell and all the rest at Layer Road. The former Town star who is training with the Essex club appeared on the bench on Friday in a first team game at Leyton Orient and then turned out for the reserves on Saturday at Sittingbourne. Manager Steve Whitton said: "We'll have to see how the situation develops with Adam. He's just getting back into it after missing so much training. It would be silly not to have a look at him, and if he does impress, then we can't afford to let him go."

The verdict on Saturday's game with Alkmaar seems to be that it was a good work-out, but that Town need to sharpen up. Jim Magilton said: "We looked sharp and lively first half against Alkmaar but tired a bit in the second half."

Town reserves beat Lowestoft 2-1 at Crown Meadow at the weekend. The Town goals came from Steven Moffat and Sean Friars.
