Young Town midfielder Matt Bloomfield is hoping to be fit to join in pre-season training with the rest of the squad on July 2nd.
The England U19 international damaged lateral knee ligaments in the final reserve game of the season at Coventry last week.
He is now on crutches and faces a two-month recovery period. The Felixstowe-based player looked likely to make his league debut in the final senior game of the season at Derby until injury intervened but is seen as one for the future by Joe Royle.
