Fab Wants to Stay - Ipswich Town News
Popular Dutch defender Fabian Wilnis says he expects to still be at Portman Road next season. The former De Graafschap man is out of contract at the end of June but has been offered a new one-year deal.
Despite the likelihood that this is worth a lot less than his previous terms he has no plans to move elsewhere: "I would love to stay here at Ipswich. Since the new manager has come in I have really enjoyed my football and I'm happy enough with what has been offered.
"I can't say much more until I have spoken with the manager, which I have not been able to do until this week as he has been away.
"There is no reason for me not to stay, but I just want to go over a couple of things with him before signing."
No deals will be completed until Town have their transfer embargo lifted, probably at the Football League board meeting on June 4th.
